We are enjoying these fresh picked off the tree In the Prosperity Bowl from the Mount Vernon collection. Mount Vernon, George and Martha Washington's family estate, licensed this lovely design. The Washington's had a deep affinity for stoneware and creamware and used it extensively. Salt -glazed fragments excavated from the grounds were replicated in great detail for this pattern. Mottahedeh brings a high quality approach to fine stoneware. Glossy reactive glazes present beautiful color variations and a skeleton leaf image is fused delicately into the glaze.
