What is a Teacup Tuesday without a side? A beautiful apple strudel is served on a Tobacco Leaf dessert tray. We love this shape for baked goods but it can be used for so much more; sandwiches, appetizers, chocolate covered pretzel logs, asparagus, a jam and jelly tray or even in the bath to hold your secret serums!

We're feeling a bit nutty right now with our Nut Leaf dessert set. Naturalists will love the leaves and nuts of four North American trees. The plates feature Pecan, Oak, Hazelnut and Chestnut. Available in a set of 4 dessert plates, set of 4 teacups and saucers, and a flat cake plate.

We are enjoying these fresh picked off the tree In the Prosperity Bowl from the Mount Vernon collection. Mount Vernon, George and Martha Washington's family estate, licensed this lovely design. The Washington's had a deep affinity for stoneware and creamware and used it extensively. Salt -glazed fragments excavated from the grounds were replicated in great detail for this pattern. The most well known style of the period, English Staffordshire stoneware was popular by ...Read more of post

A vintage piece of Mottahedeh creamware. This lovely rococo tiered candy dish features ornate carvings of dolphins and sea shells perched upon coral branches. It is very romantic and reminiscent of many fountains found in Europe.

When the fragrance is a memory, the vessel is a treasure.
Fourteen votives fill out the assortment.
The vessel styles are our favorite well-known porcelain patterns. We use high quality wax and 100% palm free vegetable oil with a smoke free burn.  Each porcelain pattern is matched with a scent. The best votive is one that becomes a liquid pool that wafts fragrance gently over time.  We formulated these scents with the famed Vila Hermanos candle producers of ...Read more of post

Enjoy one of our best loved designs with our porcelain tray that exactly fits our guest soap.  ( We call it a guest soap for its small yet it is ample enough).   This sensual and brilliant soap is a pure delight, combining the intensity of blooming rose, jasmine and tart cassis with Damascus plum and white peach.  A base of golden sandalwood and liquid amber completes this unique formulation.
We traveled to Vermont to a fine soap manufacturer and ...Read more of post

At Mottahedeh we generally opt for lots of bold color with a style that is not shy.  On the opposite end of the spectrum, white creamware made of faience, or soft paste porcelain, is our other love. Creamware has been in the offering for more than forty years.  Many times, the original has been French, and yet we make ours in Italy as the craftsmanship is exceptional and historic. Faience can be made into shapely forms with lots of detail.
