The value of items received is an estimated value. This may not reflect your actual registry credit total purchases. The reason for this is that the "value" is calculated using the current, live price of a product.
An item's price may go up or down after the gift purchase by a friend or family member. For example, a friend may buy an item at $150 a few months ago, and afterwards the price increases to $160. The "estimated value" would show $160 but the actual, true registry credit is $150.
We display the estimated value to give a general idea of a registry's value (purchases); it is not a literal/true number.
The most accurate source of information about registry credit is the "registry purchases" area. This area tracks true purchases and their accurate values.
What is a digital copy of an in-store gift?
When a customer makes a registry purchase in the store, record that purchase here. Change the quantity to what the customer purchased in store, then click the button at the bottom of the page that says "Create digital copy of in-store purchase."
Benefits of creating a digital copy:
More accurately track who purchased a gift for a registry. You can record the purchaser's name, e-mail, etc.
Make the registrant happier: when you create a digital copy, you're allowing the registrant to view these orders online. The registrant can, for example, login at night and see purchases that were made that day in the store.
What will happen after you complete the digital copy checkout?
After you complete a digital copy purchase, the quantity of items purchased will automatically be updated. You do not need to manually update what was purchased; the shopping cart software will do that for you.
